SFRevu Con
Coverage: If you're attending a Science Fiction Convention
and would like to be a "cosmic stringer" for SFRevu, , or if
you're planning one and would like to publicize it, we'd like to hear
from you. Upcoming Conventions (check our con schedule) This Month's Con: Lunacon: March 15-17, 2002 (Con Report by Asta Sinusas)
Lunacon is as close to NYC as SF Conventions come, due to the high cost of Manhattan hotel rooms. This is the 11th year it's being held at the Rye Town Hilton, affectionately known as the "Esher Hilton" since it's built on a hillside and you can suddenly change floors by walking horizontally across the hotel. Lunacon is home to an annual Masquerade, by some fairly serious costumers, and the Lunarians are active in a number of phases of Con programming, from Regency Dance workshops to book raffles for charity to Sci-Fact program tracks. They're even planning a "Junkyard Wars" event. The Lunies always put on a great Con Suite, and the proximity to NY attracts editors and publishers from the big apple. SFReviewers Steve Sawicki (Panel: What's the Difference Between a Critic and a Reviewer? Noon to 1 pm, Rm: Odelle) and Asta Sinusas will be attending. We're looking forward to posting our Lunacon coverage, just as soon as we get back from the con. In the meantime, check out the Lunacon links and see what's scheduled. (cont.)
