From April 5th to July 7th, the Smithsonian's traveling
Star Wars exhibit will be in the NYC area at the Brooklyn Museum. It's much
cooler than I expected, with room after room of props, video displays and
posters relating the mythic elements of the saga to classic mythology. If
you're in the NY area, I highly recommend it.
If you can't get to the museum, you can still enjoy
the tour online at the National Air and Space Museum website:

| The museum is best
approached by subway from Manhatten. A short film just inside the
exhibit takes you through the creation of the saga, and the exhibition
itself takes up two floors. |
   |
| You can get as
close as you want to the props, and they encourage picture taking, rare
in an art museum, in fact it's restricted to this exhibit. |

|
| I really enjoyed
getting up close to some of those figures you only see whiz by on the
screen. |
    |
| Some of the
characters you might like to know better...some not as well. |
   |
| After the exhibit
there's a room where you can try on costumes, and the digital audio tour
features James Earl Jones. |
