SFRevu Star Wars Special: Star Wars II: The Clone Wars / Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones (novelization) / Games: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast / Star Wars: The Magic Of Myth at the Brooklyn Museum of Art

From April 5th to July 7th, the Smithsonian's traveling Star Wars exhibit will be in the NYC area at the Brooklyn Museum. It's much cooler than I expected, with room after room of props, video displays and posters relating the mythic elements of the saga to classic mythology. If you're in the NY area, I highly recommend it.

If you can't get to the museum, you can still enjoy the tour online at the National Air and Space Museum website: http://www.nasm.si.edu/StarWars/guide.htm

The museum is best approached by subway from Manhatten. A short film just inside the exhibit takes you through the creation of the saga, and the exhibition itself takes up two floors.

You can get as close as you want to the props, and they encourage picture taking, rare in an art museum, in fact it's restricted to this exhibit.

I really enjoyed getting up close to some of those figures you only see whiz by on the screen.

Some of the characters you might like to know better...some not as well.

After the exhibit there's a room where you can try on costumes, and the digital audio tour features James Earl Jones.
