This morning marked another major milestone as Scholastic revealed the official Mary GrandPré cover art for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final chapter in J.K. Rowling's bestselling series. -- From Amazon

6 Cory Doctorow stories to become comicx by (Cory Doctorow 29 March 2007 / ) - I just signed the contracts on a comic book deal for six of my stories with IDW. They got the exclusive right to sell commercial comics based on my stories, but those stories are already under Creative Commons Attribution/ShareAlike/Noncommercial licenses that allow fans to make non-commercial comics (and films, etc) from them. My agent, Russell Galen, wrote a nifty little clause spelling this out (see below).

Justine Larbalestier to receive the Popular Cultural Association's Susan Koppelman Award. by (Wesleyan University Press 28 March 2007 / ) - Daughters of Earth: Feminist Science Fiction in the Twentieth Century, edited by Justine Larbalestier is the 2007 recipient of the Popular Cultural Association's Susan Koppelman Award for edited feminist books in American or Popular Cultural studies. The award is given for best anthology, multi-authored, or edited book in feminist studies in popular culture. The award ceremony will take place at the annual meeting of the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association, April 4-7, 2007, in Boston.
