City of Ember [Theatrical Release] by Gil Kenan (Dir.) (20th Century Fox 10 October 2008 / ) - The Plot: For generations, the underground City of Ember has been the only light in an otherwise dark world. But when the city's generator begins to fail, teenagers Lina (Ronan) and Doon (Treadaway) desperately race to help their fellow citizens escape before the lights go out permanently. To do so, they will have to search Ember high and low for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of their city's origins.

Let The Right One In [Theatrical Release limited] by Tomas Alfredson (Director) (Magnet Releasing 20 October 2008 / ) - The Plot: Oskar, a boy who is bullied by his peers, falls for Eli, a girl with peculiar traits, including empowering Oskar with the strength to fight back. But when he learns about her true nature -- the fact that she is a vampire -- Oskar must learn whether love can lead to acceptance and forgiveness.

Quark - The Complete Series by (SONY PICTURES 14 October 2008 / $19.94) - Product Description: A spoof of science fiction films and TV series, these are the adventures of Adam Quark, captain of a United Galactic Sanitation Patrol ship. His cohorts include Gene/Jean, a "transmute" with male and female characteristics; a Vegeton (a highly-evolved plant-man) named Ficus; and Andy the Android and Betty and Betty (who always argue over who's the clone of the other). Based at Space Station Perma One are Otto Palindrome and The Head. Though Quark is supposed to stick to his sanitization patrols, he and his crew often meet adventure with such colorful space denizens as the evil High Gorgon (head of the villainous Gorgons), Zoltar the Magnificent, and Zargon the Malevolent.
