Meagen Voss took the long route to writing career. Growing up in the Middle of Nowhere, Pennsylvania (also known as Avon Grove), she always loved writing, but decided to pursue her interest in science. After graduating from Dickinson College with dual degrees in Biology and Biochemistry, she moved on to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied neurobiology. Three years into her PhD, Meagen realized she liked writing about science more than she liked doing it and left with a Master’s degree. Now, she is working as freelance science writer and she hopes to break into the fiction market in the near future. Her favorite science fiction author is Roger Zelazny. When she’s not writing, Meagen enjoys hiking, biking and napping with her two cats, Disco and Zura.
