Paige Roberts has been an avid reader of fantasy and science fiction since fourth grade, cutting her teeth on Heinlein's Starbeast and Tolkien's adventurous hobbit. Then puberty hit, and bodice rippers and sexy regency noblemen competed for attention with her old fantasy and SF favorites. Soon
after, she discovered Yarbro's St. Germain and Bradley's Darkover novels, and realized that her favorite genres could, in fact, play nicely together. Nowadays, they call stories of sexy vampires who seduce strong-willed women in real world action stories paranormal romance, and consider it a brand new idea. Don't tell Ms. Yarbro.
Paige has been writing romance stories with aliens, werebeasts and vampires for nearly as many years as she's been reading. Apparently someone decided to create this paranormal romance genre just so that she could start selling some of those stories, and winning a few awards along the way. One of these days, she'll probably get around to selling a novel or two as well if she's not careful.
