Jane Yolan and Mark Teague's How Do Dinosaurs Love Their Cats? is a lovely picture book. The pages are seven sturdy thick cardboard ones (including cover and back page) with brightly colored illustrations of dinosaurs performing actions that match the words.

There are several different types of dinosaurs in the book and each illustration has a small label for the dinosaur so that parents can readily answer the question, "What dinosaur is that?"

If a very young child is asking for a pet, this book might help get across that there are some tasks that need to be done for pets when you have them. It also shows some behavior that should not be tolerated and points out that it is wrong.
