Klutz is known for putting out books that show readers how to do something, and that something is usually a fun activity. I learned to juggle from a Klutz book. I'm not very good -- lack of practice -- but that's my problem, not the step by step instructions. They also have books on how to draw and other things people -- young and old -- wish they could learn to do. Doodle Wire is no exception. It has step by step instructions on how to bend and manipulate coated wire to make a stylized balloon, fish, daisy, magic wand, hands, lobster, face, dude, airplane, and many other shapes. It even comes with 6 coils for a total of 15 feet of wire (2 red, 2 blue, and 2 purple). If you work in a cube, diversions are sometimes required to keep sane when you can hear every conversation within the surrounding 24 cubes. Or it will keep a young child quiet for hours while you do whatever... to get a break. And, even better, it's an activity book and material that can be used by an adult and a child together. A chance to actually do something where you can share an activity that doesn't require a lot of rules or equipment and uses the imagination. After-all, I'm sure once the figures in the book get tried, the imagination will come up with many more ideas for future construction.
