Revival: You're Among Friends is not a zombie story, though you might think so based on the premise. In Wausau, Wisconsin, just as reporter, Ms. Tao, is interviewing a crematorium technician, the body awakes. You can imagine the shock of Ms. Tao and the technician and everyone involved. Soon it becomes apparent that in a small area of Wisconsin the dead are returning to life.

Soon, the area is cut off from the rest of the state with no one in and no one out until the CDC can figure out what's going on. Dana Cypress is put in charge of working with the CDC officer, Ibrahan Ramin.

Religious groups see this as the start of the second coming, when they aren't feeling that this is Satan's demons coming back in the bodies of their loved ones. But no one really knows whether this is the result of a virus or some other mechanism and just what differences may show up in these living dead.

It's winter and the cold and snow add to the isolation and fear among those who have had their dead returned to them. How can you tell the revivers from normal folks, and should their be a difference.

The art work fleshes out the story and works to set the mood of a town isolated from the rest of the country and with little help in understanding what's happening to them and their families.

As time passes, we find that there are secrets and sins aplenty in this small town, and that those hidden secrets seem to be connected to a rise in violent crime among the living and the revivers.

Slowly, the tension builds as it seems that the revived have hidden depth even they don't realize, and that there's more going on than the dead coming back to life.

There's plenty for readers to argue about regarding what is really going on with the revivers. Highly recommended.
