First up is a literary story, "The Land of Phantom Limbs" by Bonnie Jo Stufflebeam. -+- When Jon loses an arm, he actually has visions of the arm doing things, like playing cards with other amputated limbs. Nicely don, poignant story.
Next is another literary story, "The Card" by H.L. Fullerton -+- When Jack Druand gets a "Hallmark-sized" card in the mail from Missouri, he's not sure what to do with it. It's addressed to both him and his wife but they know no one in Missouri. The resolution is pretty good on this one.
Finally, there is a horror story, "Your Hand in Mine, We'll Be All Right" by Katherine Crighton -+- After having to give birth to her daughter via a C-Section, a woman wonders how they stitched her up. Sorry, maybe because it's that I'm a guy, but I just didn't get it.
By the time you read this, the February issue might be up, but the January Flash Fiction Online should still be available. Look for it as a back issue or read any older issue. Check them out and help support them if you wish.
