Clarkesworld #105 is here with stories by E. Catherine Tobler, Andy Dudak, Kris Millering, Bogi Takács, Terry Bisson, and Caitlin R. Kiernan, along with many other features.

The 105th issue of Clarkesworld is here, with four new stories, two reprints and other features.

The first story is "Somewhere I Have Never Traveled (Third Sound Remix)" by E. Catherine Tobler. -+- Vasquez works out of Galileo Station, orbiting Jupiter, part of the operation that mines Jupiter for much-needed helium. She hears a voice coming from the planet. This results in some behavior that causes her bosses concern. They think she is hallucinating, but things take a surprising turn in another good story from this talented writer.

The second story is "Asymptotic" by Andy Dudak. -+- This opens with our hero, Nuhane, taking the oath as a cadet of the Collection Bureau, who are tasked with upholding "the Einsteinian Limit". We see him at various stages in his life, hunting down violators who have accumulated space-time debt, which they must pay for. As he also accumulates Noble Debt, he will someday have to pay that back. This also affects his mind as he goes after a master criminal. Don't worry too much about the details of this one. Just enjoy the ride.

The third story is "This Wanderer, in the Dark of the Year" by Kris Millering. -+- Audra Feher is a war correspondent. She had reported on an insurrection in Hungary with armed groups killing the Roma. Now, she is back, because an alien craft has crashed there. She is kidnapped by the anti-Roma forces who have the alien, which touched her causing pain. She is further exposed to the alien and begins to change into something else. Nicely done.

The fourth story is "Forestspirit, Forestspirit" by Bogi Takács. -+- Forestspirit is actually alien technology, left behind, that can take many forms. He meets Peter, a human boy, who tells him the group called the Consentience means to destroy the forest. What can they do to stop them? Imaginatively told and beautifully written.

There are also two reprinted stories, "A Hole in the Hole" by Tearry Bisson and "Riding the White Bull" by Caitlin R. Kiernan. I do not review reprinted stories but I hope you enjoy them.

The stories in Clarkesworld are always available, you can check them out at website (see link at the top of this review).
