Flash Fiction Online is a website with very short stories, updated every month. These are reviews for their August 2015 issue.
The first story is "The Last Mardi Gras" by Derrick Boden -+- Our narrator comes back to a flooded New Orleans with his trombone for one last Mardi Gras. He is not alone. Poignant.
The second story is "Concerning Your Recent Creation of Sentient Horse-Things on the Next Planet Over" by Stewart C. Baker -+- An amusing series of letters from a bureaucrat to a scientist that gets increasingly personal.
The third story is "Bugs Eat Light" by Izabella Grace -+- The bugs finally take over.
The fourth story, is a reprint, "A Note to Parents Regarding the Beginning and End of Time Diorama Presentations for Ms. Miller's Third Grade Class" by Rebecca Schwarz -+- Hilarious letter in the form of Dos and Don'ts.
By the time you read this, the September issue might be up, but the August Flash Fiction Online should still be available. Look for it as a back issue or read any older issue. Check them out and make a donation at their website (see link at the top of this review).
