Flash Fiction Online is a website with very short stories, updated every month. These are reviews for their October 2015 issue.
The first story is "Daisy" by Paul DesCombaz. -+- Our narrator has barricaded himself in his neighbor's basement against creatures outside, "that aren't dogs anymore". Nasty.
The second story is a reprint, "Space Travel Loses Its Allure When You've Lost Your Moon Cup" by Sylvia Spruck Wrigley. Actually, I rarely review reprints. When I googled "moon cup", I definitely decided to pass this one up.
The third story is "White Elephant" by Shannon Peavey -+- Our narrator goes to a party at which the guest exchange items extracted teeth. Her exchange teaches her something. Bizarre.
The fourth story is "Thirty-two Years in the Cooler" by Alter S. Reiss. -+- Adeckar has been released after 32 years in prison. At first, he sounds like a typical ex-con. But when we learn about the powers he has, the story becomes something different. Well done.
By the time you read this, the November issue might be up, but the October Flash Fiction Online should still be available. Look for it as a back issue or read any older issue. Check them out and make a donation at their website (link at the top of this review).
