Flash Fiction Online is a website with very short stories, updated every month. These are reviews for the new stories in their December 2015 issue.
The first story is "To the Havens" by Ariel Bolton. -+- In Nunakput, in the Northwest Terrorities of Canada, police must deal with refugees from the Republic of the Pole. Nice twist at the end.
The second story is "Fibonacci" by Eleanor R. Wood. -+- A scientist has managed to create (by cloning, one assumes) extinct ammonites (mollusks) and breed them. She hopes to re-populate them and revive the oceans. The story is cleverly told through Fibonacci sequences.
The third story is "The Snow Globe" by Kate Hall. -+- Our narrator's sister, Clara, rebels against their world. Don't want to say more without spoiling it. Very good story.
By the time you read this, the January issue might be up, but the December Flash Fiction Online should still be available. Look for it as a back issue or read any older issue. Check them out and make a donation at their website (see link at the top of this review).
