Fantastic Stories of the Imagination is back with issue #232 with stories by Sunil Patel, Layla Al-Bedawi, Darrell Schweitzer, Allen M. Steele, and Lauren Tom, along with many other features.

Fantastic Stories of the Imagination #232 with two new stories and three reprinted ones. It is available online and in an epub edition.

The first new story is "Girl in a Blue Dress (1881)" by Sunil Patel. -+- A young girl is asked by an artist if he can paint her portrait. She assents but cannot imagine what the consequences might be. Just perfect.

The second new story is "While I Wait" by Layla Al-Bedawi. -+- Our narrator opens her door every day to see the dead that have accumulated on her porch. She always gives them a saucer of milk. Very good!

There are also three reprinted stories: "Kvechula's Daughter" by Darrell Schweitzer, "The Heiress of Air" by Allen M. Steele, and "The Held Daughter" by Lauren Tom. I do not review reprinted stories but I hope you enjoy them.

The stories in Fantastic Stories of the Imagination are always available, you can check them out at their website (see link at the top of this review).
