Issue 14 of The Dark has stories by Carrie Laben, Seanan McGuire, A.C. Wise, and Steve Duffy.

Here is The Dark #14 with 2 new stories.

The first new story is "Postcards from Natalie" by Carrie Laben. -+- Mandy gets postcards from her sister Natalie who ran away with her boyfriend, Keith. She has to get them before her mother throws them out. Things are going okay until Mandy gets one that says that Keith had just abandoned her. Postcards continue to come, but something seems wrong. Nice little chill to this one.

The other new story is "The Last Sailing of the Henry Charles Morgan in Six Pieces of Scrimshaw (1841)" by A.C. Wise. -+- Descriptions of a series of scrimshaw pieces depicting the titular ship, with an artistic analysis of each: (1) Beset by a storm, (2) Damaged after the storm, and (3) Repaired but becalmed. But things take a decidedly ominous turn, which I will not spoil, with the fourth piece.

The Dark has its own brand of unique horror and is certainly worth reading. It deserves your support. Check out their website (see link at the top of this review). If you want to give them more support, go to their Patreon site at www.patreon.com/thedarkmagazine.
