Flash Fiction Online for October 2017 with new stories by Steven Fischer, Evan Berkow, Edward Ashton, and a reprint story by Matt Mikalatos.

Flash Fiction Online is a website with very short stories, updated every month. These are reviews for the new stories in their October 2017 issue.

The first new story is "A Siren Song for Two" by Steven Fischer. -+- Our narrator is on a frozen planet. But the danger is not in the ice, but in the planet's song. Just perfect.

The second new story is "Claire Weinraub's Top Five Sea Monster Stories (For Allie)" by Evan Berkow. -+- Our narrator describes five stories and how they relate to her life with her late lover. Sad and poignant.

The third new story is "Monsters" by Edward Ashton. -+- Niko's wife Daria is ill. Can he save her from the monsters? Another sad tale.

By the time you read this, next month's issue might be up, but this month's Flash Fiction Online should still be available. Look for it as a back issue or read any older issue. Check them out and make a donation at their website (see link at the top of this review).
