Cassandra Palmer is clairvoyant. Her parents were killed when she was a young child and she was raised in a vampire household controlled by Tony, who she'd later learned ordered her parents killed to gain control of her. She'd escaped once and returned to learn all she could and then turned him over to the FBI. She's been free for several years but now she knows they've found her and will try to kill her -- she'll run but first she has to warn her flatmate, Thomas, so he doesn't walk into trouble meant for her. But before she can explain to Thomas, the vamps close in and then they are in a fight for their lives only Thomas isn't who or what she thought he was. When she comes to, she's not at Tony's waiting for death she's at MAGIC (The Metaphysical Alliance for Greater Interspecies Cooperation). And, this is so not a good thing.
