Presentation at the Library of Congress

I'll be speaking at noon Friday, March 30th at the Library of Congress in Washington DC. My talk, co-sponsored by the library's Technology, Science & Business Division and the staff's Science Fiction & Fantasy Forum, will address "Computer Science in SF: It's Not an Exact Science." Library patrons are welcome. There will be a book signing after the presentation.

=== Collaborations with Larry Niven

I'm pleased to announce two new novels in the pipeline, done in collaboration with New York Times best-seller Larry Niven. Both novels are prequels to Larry's multiple-award-winning SF classic, Ringworld. Our publisher is Tor Books.

FLEET OF WORLDS is scheduled (in hardback) for September 2007. JUGGLER OF WORLDS will likely be a 2008 release. Details as publication gets closer .... Creative Destruction by Edward, M. Lerner update

The stories in this 2006 collection are all computer-themed -- which makes this next item so satisfyingly apropos. For several weeks running, CREATIVE DESTRUCTION has been *the* top-rated science-fiction selection (of more than 4,000) at premier eBook store www.fictionwise.com.
