The June 2007 issue of Analog is another nicely consistent one, well worth reading. The lead novella, "The Sands of Titan" by Richard A. Lovett is an exciting tale of survival by a man and his only companion. Rajnar Vajra's "On the Bubble" is another tale of a man using his brain to deal with a desperate situation. I also liked the short stories by Scott William Carter and Carl Frederick. This is a nice little issue.

"The Sands of Titan" is an exciting story from Richard A. Lovett. A man crash lands on Titan, a very hostile environment. He's in a spacesuit, running out of air, etc and must find his way to safety. He is helped by a sentient AI named Brittney, with the personality of a teenage girl. How they survive makes good reading. Another story that, in the classic Analogmode, is about a man solving a problem in a dire situation is "On The Bubble" by Rajnar Vajra. Fred is confined to a hospice bed but through a new technology, can accompany his granddaughter and her mother on a trip to a fair. He communicates to them through a balloon. When the people he loves are menaced by thugs, he must find a way to help them.

"Father Hagerman's Dog" by Scott William Carter is a nice little tale about a young man selling robotic digs to pay for his college education. Carl Frederick's "A Zoo in a Jungle" is a poignant story about a man literally following in his father's footsteps…to the moon. The issue is rounded out with another amusing Probability Zero story.

So, from a short fiction standpoint, this issue is well worth picking up!
