This is the second issue of Blood, Blade & Thruster and it is a fun magazine. The stories are mostly light with only one exception. The magazine's other features are mostly game-oriented but do include a Piers Anthony interview

The second issue of Blood, Blade & Thruster is pretty good with mostly a light tone. The magazine starts out with two okay poems. The first story is "War of Cosmic Insignificance" by David M. Fitzpatrick is a two-pager that starts with the end of a civilization and winds up with a war between Scrabble^TM letters! It was pretty hilarious. Next comes "The Reluctant Zombie" by Walt Trizna. Norman is a college professor who has been turned into a zombie. Things get worse from there. Christopher Heath's "Azieran: Kaibur The Rotund" is a funny sword & sorcery spoof about the rescue of a maiden. "From a Vampire Film Review" by Kris Ashton is a review written by a vampire for vampires about a "Jackass" like film made by punk vampires. This made me laugh, too.

The last story is the longest, "Sexo" by J.R. Cain. This one is not as funny and deals with cops on another world hunting down murderers of one of their own. It does have an interesting end but is marred by the narrator thinking of sex all the time and a lead character with the ridiculous nickname of Sexo.

Besides the Piers Anthony interview, the other features are mostly game-oriented and this is a magazine that I would think mostly appeals to gamers. If that's you, then get this magazine.
