Pepper Martin works in a cemetery as a guide to the graves of the rich and famous. She also talks to the dead. Or, more accurately, the dead talk to her. About their problems and the things that they need done before they can rest at peace. This time the spirit is bad boy rock and roll song writer Damon Curtis. While he believes he died of an accidental drug overdose he does not know why he's still stuck on Earth. Luckily for everyone Curtis' old band (and old band mates) are coming to town for a concert. This gives Pepper the perfect opportunity to do a little investigating. Unfortunately that means she'll be banging heads with handsome police detective Quinn Harrison instead of holding hands like she'd dreamed. She's also being stalked by Dan Callahan and her ex-fiance. If this isn't enough someone's started to knock off band mambers, or is trying to. And usually when Pepper's around. From official release/information:
Cemetery tour guide Pepper Martin never imagined she'd get to meet rock legend Damon Curtis, the bad boy poet who made millions of teenage girls scream. After all, he kicked the bucket years before she was born. But thanks to her newfound ability to chat up the dead, Pepper's got a front row seat perfect for swooning over the still-sexy Damon's latest lyrics. He's convinced that his former bandmate Vinnie Pallucci murdered him back in `71, and he's promised Pepper she won't get any rest or peace until she helps him prove it.
But when Pepper goes behind the music, she finds Vinnie with a knife in his heart and the rest of the band members running for their lives. And if Pepper doesn't snare the killer soon, Damon's next hit from the great beyond might be her swan song.
