Capclave started on Friday, Oct 17th in the Hilton on Rockville Pike in Rockville, Maryland. We arrive at about 4 p.m. to find the Dealers' Room being set up, the ConSuite already open and with people studying their program books. We checked into the hotel and got stopped at the Capclave registration desk to pick up our name tags and sat in on our first panel. My blog has detailed daily reports on the con. Once the convention is over I'll add to this overview. Once again Capclave was held in the Rockville Hilton, in Rockville, Maryland. Last year parts of the hotel were under construction and this year the construction was complete and the hotel is beautifully laid out for a convention. All the rooms were on the same level with elevators for the handicapped to come up from ground level if they took public transport.

The attendees all seemed to have a good time. I know that I did. The panels were interesting and informative. There was a bit of a rush to go from one panel to another but since I seemed to find most of the panels I wanted to see in the same room that didn't effect me as much as some other people.

Next year, Capclave will be in the same location and the guests of honor will be Harry Turtledove and Sheila Williams. I hope to see you there.
