Just what can you do when your little brother's red balloon gets away from him and soars up to the moon. Well, if you're Jake -- you go after it.

Jake's little brother has lost his balloon and after thinking about it, Jake decided to go get it. At a visit to a NASA Space Flight Center, Jake explains his problem and they offer to take him on the next flight to the moon.

Now if you can completely ignore that NASA would never do such a thing, the book goes through some of the steps necessary for astronauts to go to the moon. The problem is Jake never trains or takes any of the safety briefings.

Some children love these types of picture books just for the fun of the adventure no matter how far fetched it is. The illustrations are lovely and realistic -- even to much of the detail on Jake's space suit and Earth seen from space.

So depending on the age and sophistication of your pre- or early reader, this may be just the book to get them interested in space and science. Or, maybe just being a bit of a more loving and caring sibling.
