For the Pevensie children Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes), and Lucy (Georgie Henley), a year has passed in England since the end of The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, but hundreds of years have passed in Narnia during that period.

At the same time, the life of young Prince Caspian comes under threat of murder from King Mraz, his treacherous, power hungry uncle whose wife has given birth to a son. Unaware that her husband killed his own brother in order to usurp the throne, she doesn't suspect that he would also try to murder Prince Caspian. Aided by his tutor Doctor Cornelius, Caspian barely escapes with his life and flees the castle with the henchmen of King Mraz hard on his heels. Blowing the horn of Queen Susan, Caspian unleashes magic that summons the Pevensie children back to Narnia...
