In my opinion Daniel Craig has succeeded in carving his own niche as James Bond and Quantum of Solace follows up where his debut in Casino Royale left off. Although the amount of science and Science Fiction in each Bond movie varies from one to the next, no one can really dispute that a large part of their success is rooted in fantasy, as opposed to Fantasy. Most men want to be James Bond - or the arch-villain of that particular film if that is their wish. However I draw the line before I dare say that most women secretly desire to be a Bond girl, the female villain, or 'M' as played by Judi Dench.

Quantum of Solace
As with the recent remake of Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig, Quantum of Solace begins with another frenetic, pulse-racing foot chase involving 007 in hot pursuit of another villain.

Special Features:
Music Video "Another Way To Die" sung by Alicia Keys and Jack White (4:30)
Theatrical Teaser Trailer #1 (1:50)
Theatrical Trailer #2 (2:24)
The two trailers are typical of their kind - namely enough action to get the heart of any Bond fan racing in anticipation of the day the next Bond movie opens. In other words, outstanding at getting your attention and hooking you.

Disc 2:
Bond on Location (24:47)
This awesome feature includes a visit to the European Southern Observatory and the unique hotel for their guests, located in the Atacama Desert in Chile. We also visit the Barbican Centre in London and Panama (which doubled for Bolivia, Haiti, and Mexico). Finally, we learn that the production spent more time on location than any previous Bond film.

Start of Shooting (2:56)

On Location (3:13)

Olga Kurylenko and the Boat Chase (2:14)
She is a genuine Bond girl and every time she thought something they wanted her to do was beyond her, she discovered to her great pleasure that she was capable of deeds that she had never envisioned in her wildest dreams.

Director Marc Forster (2:45)

The Music (2:37)
A short segment with composer David Arnold (famous for Stargate and four other Bond movies), as well as Alicia Keys and Jack White.

This extensive collection of thoughts from the crew during filming runs the gamut from "Is this ever going to end?" to "I wish this segment was much longer". In all fairness to whomever came up with this concept, it was refreshing to hear so many points of view from people who obviously take great pride in their work and their enjoyment shows this.

In my opinion this two-disc edition of Quantum of Solace is as packed with goodies as any car provided to James Bond by Q Branch and I recommend it without hesitation.
